1. Hand hygiene :
Please wash your hands with soap or 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) prior to starting the workout and repeat it in the same manner after completing the workout.
The virus lives on the hands for 10 minutes. So, washing the hands with soap or 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) meets the purpose of prevention.
2. Use towel & wear clean and washed gym wear :
Every exerciser is well advised to carry preferably two towels – one to cover the surface on which to lie upon and the other to dry the face and arms.
Always wipe your skin, which touches the equipment, when you are done with it. Corona virus, when it falls on fabric remains for 9 hours, so washing your Gym clothes every day meets the purpose of destroying the virus.
3. Wearing of gloves :
Wearing rubber gloves while workout in Gym is not mandatory.
Sanitizing your hands after each work out with 70% isopropyl alcohol offers more protection against catching covid -19 than wearing rubber gloves. By wearing rubber gloves you can still pick up covid- 19 contaminations on rubber gloves. If you then touch your face, the contamination goes from your gloves to your face and can infect you.
4. Use of Mask during exercise :
According to the World Health Organisation, people should not wear masks while exercising as masks may reduce the ability to breath comfortably. Exercising makes you sweat, which can make the mask become wet more quickly. This can make breathing difficult and create room for growth of microorganisms. When exercising, the important preventive measure during COVID-19 outbreak is to maintain physical distance of at least one metre from others.
5. Use of Mask during normal communication :
During Normal communication use of mask is mandatory. Scientists have shown that tiny respiratory droplets produced when people talk. Even if you speak loudly the micro micro-droplets can go 8 to 10 miters or around 35 ft.
6. Respiratory Hygiene/Cough Etiquette :
The following measures to contain respiratory secretions are recommended for all members.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.
- Use the nearest waste receptacle to dispose of the tissue after use.
- Perform hand hygiene (e.g., hand washing with non-antimicrobial soap and water, alcohol-based hand rub, or antiseptic handwash) after having contact with respire.
7. Do not touch the “T-ZONE” :
The World Health Organization (WHO) says we should particularly try to avoid touching the eyes, nose and mouth the “T-ZONE”, which can be an effective way of halting the spread of diseases. Viruses can live for days on surfaces from desktops to door handles, and once on our hands can be transferred into our bodies through these entry points. In the fight against new corona virus there’s one simple measure we can all take but that too many of us may sound almost impossible – we need to stop touching our “T-ZONE“.
8. Use simple carbohydrate after exercise :
After vigorous exercise cortical level is increased. Cortical is a catabolic hormone and it plays a major role in reducing the immunity which is very critical in this pandemic situation. Simple carbohydrate rich foods like banana, dark chocolate, glucose water will helps to reduce cortical level.
9. Stretch it out :
Spend 20% of your total work out time for recovery as cool- down stretching as it also helps to reduce cortical level.
10. Hand shake :
Do not shake hands with your fellow club members and Gym trainers. Please adopt "Namaskar mudra" instead.
11. Air conditioner :
Ideal temperature that should be maintained while operating a commercial air conditioner amid the corona virus pandemic is between 24 andd 30 degree centigrade. Indian Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Conditioner Engineers (ISHRAE) has issued an advisory regarding the use of ACs in homes and offices, it said the relative humidity must remain between 40-70 %. Mantra health club will take all necessary steps to adhere the recommendations. No personal preferences will be entertained.

13. Aarogya Setu app :
Members need to download Aarogya Setu app and according to app status “Safe” declaration is the pre requisite to get entry at the health club .
14. Advance workout slot booking :
Please book your work out slot in advance to maintain the social distancing protocol.
15. Medical and travel history :
All members need to up load Medical report and travel history in the member panel.
16. Social distancing :
Please maintain 6 ft distance with your fellow club members.
